Grand Canyon :

Festival of the West 2013 : The Festival of the West is an annual event is Scottsdale, Arizona. This year, they put on a demonstration of Mounted Cowboy Shooting, which we were told is the fastest growing equestrian sport. These women could not only ride impressively, they were also shooting very well. They are firing blanks, but even a blank has a muzzle blast sufficient to burst a baloon if one rides close enough.

Android Photography : When I switched to a Droid 4, I was really impressed with the camera, which was much better than the camera in my old Blackberry. I discovered an HDR app - HDR Camera+ - and downloaded that. All of my photographs are taken with it on the Droid now, and examples are in this gallery. Having a camera with me this good all the time makes me look for a picture knowing I can take the picture when I find it.
